　I．はじめに

　鼻腔，口蓋などに進行性壊疽性変化をぎたす進行性鼻壊疽には種々の病因による複数の疾患が含まれていると考えられる^1）〜10）。

　Walton^2）は剖検例よりこれら予後不良疾患を次の3つに分類した。①Wegener's granulomatosis，②lethal mudline granuloma，③reticulum cell sarcoma。

　There is still some difficulty in making an early microscopic diagnosis of necrotizing granuloma of the nasopharynx including the nasal cavity. The process with which granuloma occur is still unknown. The microscopic picture will show no regular form because of the changes that may prevail depending upon the stage of progress and location of the lesion. Among these changes may be included, (1) the Wegener's granuloma, (2) the type strongly granulomatous but poor in vascular inflammation and (3) malignant reticulosis. In later stages there would be an increased malformed histiocytes with which the reticulosis may be recognized but in its early stages this diagnosis is difficult to make.
