　まえがき

　唾液分泌は色々の原因で減少するものであるがこれが一過性でなく且つ他の重大な疾患の一分症でない時これを口内乾燥症Xerostomiaと称している。われわれは唾液腺疾患のいろいろ第6報でXerostomiaの分類についてのべ^1）これを腺因性，反射弓性，精神性の三つに分けた。ここではその線にそつてXerostomiaの症状の2,3を補足し他の類似疾患の関係について検討してみたいと思う。

(1) Complaints in xerostomia may closely sim-ulate those that might manifested by laryngo-pharyngeal nuerosis. It should be remembered that xerostomia may be both, the cause and effect of the neurosis of this particular region.

(2) Symptoms of xerostomia may resemble tho-se which are met with in climacteric period: only that in the former cellular changes would be much more well defined.

(3) Lacrymal secretion in xerostomia appeared to be decreased: similar relation is also found in the secretory function of the salivary glands. Consequently, rhinopharyngitis sicca would be found. The sensation of dryness of the nose and mouth is to be found as symp-toms of xerostomia.
