　I．まえがき

　唾液分泌は色々の原因で減少するものであるがそれが一過性でなく且つ他の重大な疾患の一分症でない時，これを口内乾燥症Xerostomiaと称している。比較的稀な疾患であり，本態が不明のためその治療はまちまちで，確実な効果をあげえないという報告が多い。われわれは口内乾燥症の分類^1），症状^2），診断^3），検査法^3）について系統的に記して来た。今回は以上の知見の上に立つた口内乾燥症の治療について述べてみたい。

By our own method of examination persis-tent xerostmia was classified and given ap-propriate treatment: 80% of glandular types and 64% of neurogenic types came to becoming cured.

These cures showed increase and improve-ment of salivary secretion but fell short of returning the condition to be entirely normal.

In treatment the use of saliva-parotin in glandular types and of 0.5% of sodium pro-cain intravenously in neurogenic types ap-peared to be the most effective.
