　外耳道閉鎖症に対する聴力の増進は最近著しい進歩を示し，鼓室造形術，鐙骨可動法，内耳開窓術等が適用されている。私は鼓室及び耳小骨欠損と耳翼の殆んど欠損を伴う先天性外耳道閉鎖症の1例を経験したので報告する。

Yokokawa and Kohya report a case of con-genital malformation of the ear, in a woman aged 19, in which the pinna remained to be a rudimental process and the external audito-ry canal to be completely atresic. By perfor-ming radical mastoidectomy a hearing of 20 db was regained: at the time of this opera-tion it was revealed that the middle ear ossi-cles were also missing. The pinna was re-constructed by means of plastic surgery.
