  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

We performed indocyanine green (ICG) angiography in 62 eyes of age-related macular degnera-tion with choroidal neovascularization (CNV). Feeder vessels to CNV were detected in 35 eyes, 56%. ICG angiographic findings of CNV could be classified into 4 types. In typical CNV, type 1, showed abnormal hyperfluorescence during the early phase of ICG angiography with remarkable dye leakage in the late phase in 45 eyes, 72%. Atypical findings, type 2 to 4, were observed in eyes with small CNV with slight exudative changes and in eyes with scarred CNV. The findings seemed to indicate that differences in ICG angiographic findings of CNV are related with the development and progression of CNV.
