手術的療法に依り全治を見たる原発性鼻中隔癌腫の1症例並びに其の文献的考察

　緒言

　鼻中隔よりの癌腫の発生は，鼻腔内に於ける他の部位並びに副鼻腔より発生せる癌腫に比し極めて稀れである。Donogany, Lenartに依れば，鼻中隔癌腫は鼻腔内癌腫の14％，Katzに依れば12％であると報告して居る。本邦文献に於ても，鼻中隔癌腫の報告は極めて少なく，吾々の調べ得た範囲では20例の報告あるのみである。

　然して最近当教室に於て，鼻閉塞を主訴とせる原発性鼻中隔癌腫にて手術的療法により全治をみた症例を経験したので，此れに調べ得られた本邦文献に就て聊かの考察を加え，此処に報告する次第である。

Hirano and Kotani report a case of epithe-lioma of the nasal septum. The patient,a man aged 69. showed evidence of total blockage of both nasal cavities by a tumor situated in the septum anteriorly the size of distal 1/3 of adult little finger: the growth proved to be epithe-lioma, by pathological examination. Surgical re-moval of the growth established a complete cure in the patient without further compli-cation.

By reviewing the literature of this cauntry since 1907 to date the authors find 20 cases of septal carcinoma including their own, and, summarize the study of these cases as follows:

(1) Septal carcinoma appear to have a prefe- rential age at 61 to 70.

(2) The males seem to be more susceptible than the females: ratio 4:1.

(3) The outstanding symptoms are a com- plete blockage of the nasal cavities and epitaxis.

(4) The patients thus affected seek medical advice within the period of 1 year since the snset of the disease.

(5) The usual site of the affection appear to be the anterior portion of the nasal se- ptum.

(6) The majority of this type of lesion are epithelioma.

(7) Very little metastasis are found to other parts or organs of the body.

(8) The chance of recovery is good.
