皮様嚢腫を思わしめたる原発性前頭洞癌腫の1例とその文献的考察

　緒言

　鼻腔及び副鼻腔に於ける腫瘍は日常多数遭遇する所であるが，前頭洞腫瘍特に原発性前頭洞癌腫にありては極めて稀有なるものにして本邦に於ては僅かに十数例の報告あるのみである。

　最近我々は前頭洞より発し皮様嚢腫を疑つた原発性前頭洞癌腫に遭遇したので茲に文献的考察をなして報告し御批判を仰ぐ次第である。

A case of cancer of the frontal sinus is re-ported by Sugai and Ikeda. The diagnosis of epithelioma that proved to be rather low in degree of malignancy was made after its sur-gical removal. Examination of the patient, a farmer aged 61, giving a history of nasal polyps with their removal effected 5 years ago and now complaining of a large swelling and loss of vision because of that swelling which showed a rapid progress within the last 2 mon-ths, revealed a large tumor mass about 4cm ×5cm in size, reddish in color and resilient to touch, protruding from the forehead that ca-used obstruction of vision of the right eye.

The patient was subjected to operation with the impression that this mass to be a dermoidcyst. However, under scrutiny of microscopic examination it proved to be an epithelioma. The right frontal sinus and the ocular fossa of the same side were completely exenteratedof their contents ; no metastatic growths were revealed infiltrating the ocular tissues excep-ting at the region of laerymal canal where sli-ght infiltration was recognized.
