　はじめに

　化膿性肉芽腫は，口腔粘膜や手指，顔面の皮膚が好発部位とされている^1）が，外耳道に発生したとする報告は少ない。今回，われわれは外耳道に発生した化膿性肉芽腫の1症例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

Pyogenic granuloma often occurs in the head and neck area but less commonly in the external audi-tory canal. A 37-year-old woman presented with apainful mass in her right external auditory canal.

CT scan, MRI and angiography suggested that the mass was hemangioma or malignant tumor. The mass was surgically resected and histological study revealed pyogenic granuloma. The patient has been followed for 9 months without recurrence. It was thoguht that the cause of granuloma was injury and infection after scratching canal skin.
