I．緒言
眼科領域に於ける副腎皮質ホルモン療法は殆どが局所使用であるが，重症例や全身病の一分症として発症したものに対しては，全身的療法が卓効を奏する事は常に経験する所である。しかし初期に用いられたCortisoneは屡々副作用を伴い，為に自らその使用には限度があつたが，Predni-soloneが出現するや，有効量がCortisoneの5分の1となり副作用が激減し適応範囲が一段と広くなつた。
所が最近，Dexamethasone，Triamcinolone，Methylprednisolone等の合成副腎皮質ホルモン製剤が出現し，効果の増進と共に副作用が遙かにすくなくなつた。
Kenacort (Triamcinolone) was administered in 15 cases : 6 of uveitis, 2 of optic neuritis, one of retinitis centralis, one of Takayasu's disease, one of inflammatory pseudotumor of the orbit and 4 of postoperative conditions.
The therapeutic results with Kenacort in theses were as follows:

Kenacort was especially effective on uveitis. Side-effects manifested themselves in cases but were not serious.
