緒言
網膜芽細胞腫は近年その発生頻度が次第に増加の傾向を示しているといわれている。これは本症に対する一般の関心がたかまり，早期発見早期治療が行なわれ，愚者が成人して子どもをもうける機会がましたこともその一因であると考えられる。
著者らは，母親と異父姉に同一疾患の発生をみた網膜芽細胞腫の症例を経験し，その末梢白血球ならびに腫瘍細胞の染色体分析を行なう機会をえたので，その結果を報告する。
Chromosomes of a patient (4-month-old fe-male) with bilateral retinoblastoma were studied on the peripheral leukocytes and the tumor cells. The finding was that the tumor cells showed aneuploid, while the majority of the karyotypes from peripheral blood culture was normal.
This case was further of interest in the family history that the patient has a half-sister (7-year-old) with bilateral retinoblastoma.
They had a common mother (34-year-old) with retinoblastoma in one eye and different healthy father.
