　われわれは2000年12月より2003年12月までに13例の特発性側彎症の内視鏡下前方矯正手術を施行した．全例女性で，手術時平均年齢は17.1歳，術前のCobb角は64.5±15.5度であった．器具はEclipse^®を使用した．胸腰椎カーブではDual rodsを使用し，腰椎部はmini-open approachで行った．手術時間，出血量，術前・術後のCobb角，合併症などを調査した．術後の経過観察期間は平均15.2か月であった．手術時間は平均8時間42分，出血量は平均394±112ml，Cobb角は術前平均64.5度から，調査時には22.5度に改善した．特発性側彎症の内視鏡下前方矯正手術は美容上のメリットが大きく低侵襲であるので，将来性の高い治療法であると思われた．

　We started endoscopic anterior correction and instrumentation for idiopathic scoliosis from December 2000. The purpose of this presentation is to show operative procedures, early clinical results, and discuss the indications and problems of the procedure.

　Materials and methods: We operated thirteen cases of idiopathic scoliosis by endoscopic anterior correction and instrumentation from December 2000 to December 2003. All patients were female, and mean age at operation was 17.1 years.
