骨の遺伝性疾患には，単一遺伝子病(monogenic disease)と多因子遺伝病(polygenic disease)がある．本稿では，骨の単一遺伝子病である骨系統疾患(skeletal dysplasia)の疾患遺伝子(disease gene)の遺伝子解析について述べた．骨系統疾患における遺伝子解析の意義，遺伝子診断の必要性，疾患遺伝子の解明の現状，遺伝子診断の必要条件について，解説した．

Genetic bone disease includes monogenic and polygenic diseases.　This review describes the genetic analysis of skeletal dysplasia, which involves monogenic bone diseases, with focus on its significance, necessity, current status and prerequisites for genetic diagnosis.
