I．はじめに

　耳鼻咽喉科領域における神経鞘腫は現在ではさほど稀なものではない。しかし今回われわれが経験した上顎神経鞘腫は非常に稀であり，三叉神経第2枝領域の知覚異常のみを呈して診断に苦慮した症例である。その概要を報告するとともに若干の考察を加えた。

　Neurinoma of the maxillary nerve in a 56-year-old woman complaining of hypestliesia of the left face was reported. CT revealed a solitary round mass mainly locating in the foramen rotundum and the pterygopalatine fossa, and partly invading into the maxillary sinus and the middle cranial fossa. The tumor was partially removed with Caldwell-Luc's operation. Histological examination showed neurinoma composing of mainly spindle cells in whorls or interlacing fascicle.
