MRIにて術前診断が可能であった垂直部を中心とした顔面神経鞘腫症例

Facial Nerve Neurinoma in the Mastoid Diagnosed by MRI

　緒言

　中耳に発生する腫瘍は近年その報告が増えてきているとはいえ比較的頻度は低く，その発生部位・進展方向によっては術前に診断をする際，苦慮する場合がある。今回われわれはMRIによって術前に真珠腫と鑑別し得た顔面神経垂直部より発生した神経鞘腫の1例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A patient with facial nerve neurinoma in the mastoid was first suspected as having cholestea-toma by routine examinations but was correctly diagnosed preoperatively by MRI. The tumor was enhanced well with Gd-DTPA. Seventy-nine re-ported cases of the intratemporal facial neurinoma in japan (1937-1991) were reviewed. MRI was considered very useful in the differential diagnosis for such lesions.
