I．はじめに
嗅覚障害を伴った低gonadotropin性性腺機能低下症（HH）はKallmann症候群と呼ばれており，先天性の視床下部―下垂体系の障害と嗅球を中心とする嗅覚中枢の形成不全に由来すると考えられている。本症候群の報告は稀ではないのであるがその嗅覚検査についての詳細な報告は少ないようである。今回Kallmann症候群と考えられた2症例の嗅覚検査の結果を報告するとともに，本症における嗅覚障害と性腺機能低下症との関係について論ずる。
Two cases of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism with association of anosmia (Kallmann's syndrome) are reported.
The first case, a 26-year-old male, showed severe olfactory disturbance, but no definite abnormal findings in the peripheral olfactory pathways by x-ray and endoscopic examinations.
The second case, 12-year-old male, also revealed central olfactory disturbance with complete loss of the reaction to the various olfactory test.
The possible explanations of the relationship between hypogonadotropic hypogonadism and olfactory disorder are thoroughly discussed in this paper.
