　I．緒言

　頭部外傷による側頭骨骨折には錐体軸を横切る横骨折と，錐体軸に沿って走る縦骨折とがある。横骨折では主として内耳，内耳道が損傷され，縦骨折では主として外耳道，中耳に損傷が起こる。

　筆者らは最近，側頭骨縦骨折によって生じた外耳道後上壁の骨折片が，外耳道内に転位して深部外耳道内に橋渡し状に固定していた稀な症例を経験したので，報告する。

　A 39-year-old male suffered from head injury, and in the deep part of the external auditory canal was observed a piece of bone which was separated from the posterior wall of the external auditory canal because of a logitudinal fracture of temporal bone. Auditory finding showed a conductive hearing loss of 23.8dB (averaged of 500Hz-2KHz). The cause of hearing loss in this case was considered due to adhesion of a spicule to the eardrum. The conductive hearing loss was improved by the surgical treatment. The clinical findings and mechanism of the conductive hearing loss in this case were discussed with the literature.
