I．はじめに
耳鼻咽喉科の領域は，解剖学的位置から第Ⅰ〜第ⅩⅡ脳神経に，きわめて密接な関係があり，脳神経障害をきたした患者に接する機会が多い。
副鼻腔・上咽頭悪性腫瘍などの頭蓋内進展例では，脳神経麻痺の状態を精査することで，治療方針，予後の判定に重要な指標を得ることができる。
A case of ethmoidal cancer complicated with right total cranial nerve paralysis in a woman, aged 67, is reported. No disturbance of sensory or motor function was observed on the extremities and there was no sign of increased pressure of the cerebrospinal fluid.
X-ray examination of the skull revealed the destruction of sella turcica. With the post mortem examination it was found that the ethmoidal squamous cell carcinoma had infiltrated the basal skull.
Garcin's syndrome is rarely found in the literature of this country; only 12 cases have thus far been reported.
