　Ⅰ．はじめに

　乳嘴腫は鼻腔内良性腫瘍の中でも比較的稀なものである。これに関する光顕報告は数多くあるが（鳥山と賀川^1），矢野^2），大山ら^3），粟田口ら^4），McD Herrold Bethesda^5），谷^6），神崎ら^7），など）電顕観察は矢野（1961）^8）とGaitoら（1965）^9）の二報告があるのみで，いずれもいわゆる軟性乳嘴腫についての報告であり，硬性乳嘴腫の報告はまだないようである。著者らは軟性乳嘴腫および硬性乳嘴腫の各1例を電子顕微鏡で観察し，些かの新知見を得たので報告する。

　Nasal papillomas in two cases, one hard and the other soft, were observed under electron-microscope. The hard papilloma was found to be lined by squamous stratified epithelium with keratohyaline granules in the cytoplasm of the granular layer cells and in the picklecell layers an unusual V-shaped desmosomes were found. The soft papilloma, on the other hand, was found to be lined by pseudostratified ciliated epithelium. Glycogen area was found in the cytoplasm near the nucleus of the middle layer cells. No viral particle was demonstrable in either case.
