　I．緒言

　X線は1895年Röntgenにより，Radiumは1898年Curieにより発見されて以来医学的方面の応用は長足の進歩をなし今日では診断及び治療上必要欠くべからざるものとなつた。

　殊に最近では安価な放射性コバルトを自由に入手出来る様になり，悪性腫瘍の治療には有力な武器となつている。

With application of radium irradiation to cases in whom that show a high degree of inflammatory reaction in the nasal mucous membrane with accompanying subjective symptoms following operative treatment of chronic sinusitis, the authors summarize the results as follow:

The dosage of the irradiation was limited to 10mg-1 hour application per week with the total amount ranging from 50 to 70 mg depending upon the results obtained. With this therapy the nasal mucous membrane regained its normalcy and the patients were relieved of their symptoms. No side effects were noted.
