慢性副鼻腔炎綜合手術に於けるゴム風船Tamponの使用経験に就いて

　鼻科手術におけるタンポンには，手術の種類によつて，又術者によつて，いろいろなタンポンが工夫され，使用されているが，私は昨年来ゴム製衛生具を副鼻腔炎綜合手術後のタンポンに応用してみたが，非常に好結果を得たので，ここにその経験を述べてみたい。

Wada and Takeuchi employed rubber con-dom for nasal packing in postoperative dre-ssing of the nose following sinus operations. For the maxillary sinus the condom previou-sly cut to the length of about 10cm is inser-ted through the newly created infra-turbinal opening and ballooned out within the cavity and its end is tied. For ethmoidal dressings the condom is carefully inserted with a ca-rrier and strip gauze is packed within the condom.

Such a packing appear to give a good tissue contact, prevents postoperative bleeding and facilitates easy removal.

The rubber condom may be sterilized by boiling; is cheap in purchase and practical in usage.
