　ムコーズス菌性中耳炎はその経過が遷延性で，進行性，しかも骨破壊の著しいために色々な合併症，殊に頭蓋内合併症を起し易いことをもつて特徴とされているが，私は昭和23年3月に日大板橋病院耳鼻科を訪れたムコーズス菌性中耳炎患者にして，その長い経過と合併症の点に於て興味ある1例を経験したのでここに報告する．

SAKAI and TOYOMURA report a case of ch-ronic otitis media which during the period of 2 years caused the patient to suffer symptoms of hard of hearing, unilateral headaches and shoulder pains. Examination of the patient revealed an abcess under the scalp about the size of the thumb head which proved to he originated from extra-dural abcess in the middle cranial fossa that erod-ed through the skull at abcut the point of articu-lation of the parietal, occipital and temporal bon-es. The patient was cured in 22 days when mast-oidectorny was performed with institution of pro-per drainage of subdural abcess and of penicillin therapy to the amount of 400,000 units per day.
