ムコーズス中耳炎について

　I．はしがき

　ムコーズス中耳炎は鼓膜所見に比して重篤な骨侵襲あるいは合併症を起す恐るべき中耳炎で，so fort Operationと昔は教えられたが，其後スルファミン，抗生物質の発達につれ恐ろしさを減じた。否等閑に附されている傾向が見られるが，私は最近これを実証するかの如き例を手術する機会を得たので此処に敢て報告したいと思う。

　Iwata performed mastoidectomies on 3 cases of mucosus otitis. The outstanding features commonly found among these cases appeared to be that the bony destructions met with in the deeper parts of the mastoid far exceeded that which was shown by outward manifestations on the tympanic membrane. For which reason the real nature of the affection was being overlooked. The author states that, in spite of the availability of antibiotic treatment, such cases as mentioned are in existence and calls for closer attention for observations among the specialists in general.
