昭和25年度愛知県下（名古屋市を除く）身体障害者検診時の内耳性難聽．聾唖の統計的観察

　緒言

　私は昭和25年春から秋にかけ愛知県下（名古屋市を除く）を巡回し，身体障害者検診を行つた際のカルテから，所謂内耳性難聽と思われるもの328例及び其内の聾唖者222例の統計を取り，考案試みたから，此処に報告したいと思う．

　IWATA found 328 patients affectd with either nerve deafness or deafmutism in amcng the general physical examination for those who were institutionalized for physical bazdicap. The number of males exceeded the females. congenital affections appeared to be hereditary in natura and relatve to marriages among close kinship. Acquired affections had reference to previous disease of central nervous system, meningitis, acute febrile diseases and traumatic injuries. In majority of cases the onset of the affliction began before the pateint had attained the 5th year of life. congenital cases were found to be invariably deaf-mutes while, the acquired ones were only about 50 per cent so affected
