　最近，遺伝によると思われる若年者の進行性内耳性難聽患者の2例に接し，家系的に聽力を調査し，家族内に同型の障碍者の存在することを発見したので報告するのであるが，従来この種の難聽は本邦では家族性内耳性難聽の名称の下に，山田河田氏等により報告せられ，HammerschlagによりHerredopathia acustica, DolowiztによりてはHereditary Progresive Nerve Deafnessとして発表せられていたものである。

HARAGUCHI and MURASHIMA report 2 cases of progressive, perceptive deafness that proved to be hereditary. In both cases when examination was extended to members of the family some of them were found to be affected with deafness similar in type. In these cases a great progress in onset of deafness is seen particularly in that period which range from childhood to adolescence and the involvement is bilateral; similar types of deafness will be revealed in members of the family.
