上顎骨骨纎維腫の1例

　頬部の腫脹を呈する疾患は甚だ多く，上顎に発生せる諸種惡性腫瘍，種々の頬部嚢腫等は屡々遭遇する所であり，又これらに較べては稀ではあるが，種々の良性腫瘍も見られる所である．上顎骨骨纎維腫は上顎骨に発生する腫瘍の中では，比較的稀であるとされているがその報告は屡々見られ，最近10ケ年に於ても，斎藤，山口両氏の2例（耳鼻臨14年）加藤の1例（耳鼻咽16年）佐藤の1例（東北医16年）高橋の1例（大日耳鼻16年）等の報告が見られ，稀な良性腫瘍の首坐を占めている．

　著者は最近右頬部一般にわたり廣汎に腫脹し，又右口唇下部より歯齦にかけて膨隆せる1例を診察し，歯科医の協力を得て，全治せしめることが出來た骨纎維腫の1例に遭遇したので，茲にその経過の大要を報告し，1例を追加する．

Tosabayashi reports a case of osteo-fibroma of maxillary bone. A farmer's wife, aged 28, who had known that there was a slight swelling in her right cheek for the past 6 years, complained of recent increase in size of that swelling. Examination of the patient showed a tumor on the right maxillary bone involving the alveola process. With clinical diagnosis of benign tumor, the growth was removed by Denker's method of partial resection. However, in order to remove adequately the involved alveola pro-cess two stage operation was necessary ; the preliminary step consisted of removal of upper teeth by aid of dentist. Microscopic examination of the growth revealed an osteo-fibroma. In view of the fact that post-operative difficulties would be invariably confronted by patients who undergo drastic removal of maxillary bone, the present case was operated with a special point of preserving the integrity of maxillary bone as much as it was permissionble and for which reason there was a large deviation from ortho-dox surgical removal of this bone in cases of tumors.
