　緒言

　史書を按ずるに從來大戰後は敗戰國内に花柳病の異常増加が究明され敗戰と花柳病との平行推移は吾人の深く遺憾とするところである．吾國に於ても戰後急速なる増加を示して居る事は事実であるが其の上氣道に於ける病変は第2期梅毒最も多く初期硬結殊に舌に於ける病変は比較的稀である．余等は最近舌梅毒の1例に遭遇したので報告する次第である．

Kaku and Ono report a case ot lingual syphilis. The patient, 54 years old man, presented a large ulcer on the tip of his tongue. Chest examination revealed pulmonary infiltration. Positive Wasser-man reaction and presence of spirocheta pallida in the dark-fielf examination pointed the tongue lesion as that ot primary syphilitic infection. Infective sourse was not ascertainable exceptiug that of smoking cigarrette stubs picked up on the streets, the habitual practice of the patient. The patient made a complete recovery under salvarsan therapy.
