鼻性化膿性脳膜炎兼脳膿瘍の一例

　鼻性脳内合併症は極めて稀に経驗される疾患で，最も多いのは脳膜炎であるが，其の他に脳膿瘍，靜脈洞血栓或は脳軟化竈形成等がある．

　私共は最近汎副鼻洞炎の診断で入院し，術後に起つた化膿性脳膜炎兼脳膿瘍の一例を経驗し教えられる所が非常に多かつたので，その概略を述べる．

Isono reports intranasal operations may serve to form contributory factors in developing cere-bral meningitis in cases of nasal pansinusitis. The patient in this report developed cerebral meningitis following intranasal exenterations of ethmoidal cells during the course of treatment of pansinusitis. In spite of treatment with pen-cillin and other chemotaerpeutic measures, the patient devolped cerebral abcess and finally died. Post-mortem examination showed the cause of cerebral invasion to be in the spread of infecti-on through the cribriform aplate and no evidence was found on possible errors of the operative technics.
