緒言

　最近，われわれは後腹膜腔に発生した神経鞘腫の1例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 67-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with a chief complaint of right flank pain. On physical examination, she was found to have an apple-sized mass in the right lower quadrant of the abdomen. Urinalysis and hematological data were within normal limits, except for a mild anemia. Urinary 17-ketosteroids, 17-hydroxycorticosterone, adrenaline, noradrenaline, and VMA were normal.

Alphafetoprotein, carcinoembryonic antigen, and human chorionic gonadotropin in serum were also normal. Radiological examinations including CT scanning showed an apple-sized tumor in the retro-peritoneal cavity in front of the right sacroiliac joint.
