はじめに

　歯冠が正常に萌出する方向とは逆の鼻腔内や上顎洞内へ向かっている歯牙を，逆生歯牙という。本邦では金杉^1）が1901年に初めて報告して以来，現在までに200例余りの報告がみられる^2）が，日常診療で遭遇することは比較的稀である。今回われわれは，左鼻腔内に萌出し当初鼻腔内異物を疑った逆生歯牙の1例を経験したので報告する。

　We report a case of ectopic inverted tooth with the similar symptom to the foreign body of the left nasal cavity. A 63-year-old man visited our hospital with the chief complaints of cacosmia. A yellowish-white and dark-brown colored bony-hard material with irregular surface, surrounded by granulation tissue, was located in the bottom of the left nasal cavity. Computed tomography showed a high density area like tooth in the region. The pathological material was resected easily with a rigid endoscope under local anesthesia and was diagnosed as a supernumerary inverted tooth covered by the material like the dental plaque. The clinical course was uneventful after the surgery.
