Ⅰ．はじめに

　鼻・副鼻腔から発見される歯牙様組織は比較的稀である。鼻腔内に認められる逆生歯牙はわが国では1901年，金杉^1）の報告以来，100余例の報告があるが，実際には日常診療においてそのような症例に遭遇することは稀である。

　今回われわれは，無症状で発見された鼻腔内逆生歯牙の1症例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A 26-year-old male patient developed an asymptomatic mass in the nasal cavity during treatment of facial paralysis. A tooth-like mass approximately 10mm in diameter was removed by endoscopic biopsy. Based on oral findings and x-ray images, it was determined to be an inverted tooth that had been formed by a supernumerary tooth. An inverted tooth should be removed if nasal symptoms are present. Even if asymptomatic, it is considered appropriate to remove an inverted tooth in order to prevent infection.
