はじめに

　咽頭に発生する悪性腫瘍は上皮系腫瘍が多く，肉腫は比較的少ない。そのうち，筋原性腫瘍のなかでも平滑筋肉腫の発生は稀である。本邦において咽頭に発生した平滑筋肉腫は，われわれが渉猟し得た範囲では16例のみであった。さらに本症例では扁平上皮癌の合併もあり，咽頭原発において検索し得た範囲ではこれが初めての報告である。今回われわれは中咽頭に平滑筋肉腫と扁平上皮癌を同時発生した稀な症例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A 59-year-old male was admitted to our hospital with the sensation of a foreign body in the pharyngeal area. Laryngoscopic examination revealed a smooth-surfaced tumor in the posterior wall of the oropharynx. The tumor was partially excised and a leimyosarcoma was diagnosed. Wide local excision of the tumor was performed. After surgery, 50 Gy of radiation therapy was given. No recurrence is evident 1.5 years after treatment. Pathologicaly, the tumor was leimyosarcoma and squamous cell carcinoma was found in the peripheral mucosa of the tumor.
