舌に発生した神経鞘腫2例

Two cases of schwannomas on the tongue

はじめに

　神経鞘腫（schwannoma）は，神経鞘を有する脳神経を含んだ末梢神経軸索を包むSchwann細胞に由来する良性腫瘍である。その約1/3は頭頸部に生じるとされるが，舌を含めた口腔内での発生頻度は4％と比較的稀である^1）。今回われわれは舌に発生した30mm以上と比較的大きい神経鞘腫2例を経験したため，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Schwannoma are benign tumors originating from the Schwann sheath. Approximately one-third of schwannomas occur in the head and neck region；however, their, incidence in the oral cavity, including the tongue, is relatively low（4％）. Here, we report two relatively large schwannomas（＞30 mm in diameter）that occurred on the tongue. In both cases, the diagnosis was not made preoperatively, and both patients underwent surgery. Postoperatively, both patients exhibited a favorable course with no symptoms of nerve loss.
