I．はじめに

　Castleman病は，胸腺腫に類似した縦隔リンパ節の過形成として1954年にCastlemanら^1）により最初に報告された疾患である。その後Kellerら^2）が，組織学的に本疾患をhyaline-vascular type（HV型），plasma cell type（PC型）と混合型に分類した。好発部位は縦隔であるが，ときに頸部に発生することがある。

　今回われわれは，頸部に発生したHV型のCastleman病の1例を経験したので，文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　We reported a case of hyaline-vascular type of Castleman's disease in a 17-year-old female. This disease occurs in almost any area where lymphoid tissue is normally present,most frequently in the mediastinum,followed by the head and neck region. Possibility of Castleman's disease should be taken into consideration when a solid mass is noted in the head and neck region.
