　1985年10月から1988年9月までの3年間で大阪大学眼科において施行された，全層角膜移植術のうち，術後1年以上の経過を観察し得た，120例120眼の術後1年目における移植片透明治癒率と提供眼球の保存作成条件との関係について調査し，以下の結果を得た。

　1．全移植片透明治癒率は72％であった。

　2．死後眼球摘出までの時間が3時間未満とそれ以上の眼球を使用した症例の移植片透明治癒率に差は見られなかった。

　3．眼球保存時間が24〜48時間の症例では，24時間未満の症例に比べ，透明治癒率が高かった。

　4．拒絶反応は1％以下の危険率で，眼球保存時間が24〜48時間の症例に比べ，24時間未満の症例に多かった。

　5．ヒアルロン酸ソーダを使用した症例の方が，移植片透明治癒率が高かった。

We performed a total of 120 penetrating kerato-plasties during the foregoing 3 years. All the cases were followed up for at least one year. We evaluat-ed the implication of preservative conditions on the postsurgical transparency of the graft.

The graft remained transparent postsurgically in86 eyes, 72%. The rate of transparency of the graft was the same whether the donor eye was enucleat-ed within 3 hours or after 3 to 5 hours after death. The rate of transparency of the graft was greater when the donor eye was preserved for 24 to 48 hours than for less than 24 hours after enucleation. The rate of graft rejection was higher when the donor eye was preserved for less than 24 hours than for 24 to 48 hours. Additional use of sodium hyaluronate during surgery contributed to higher rate of trans-parency of the graft.
