角膜内皮炎の臨床病型分類の試み

Clinical classification of corneal endotheliitis

　最近，角膜内皮炎という疾患単位が認識されつつあるが，それは臨床的には極めて広いスペクトルを有したものであり，共通な特徴を持ったいくつかの疾患群の集合である．そこで，我々は最近3年間に経験した角膜内皮炎の症例21例についてレトロスペクティブに検討し，文献的な考察もふまえて，これらを，進行性周辺部浮腫型，傍中心部浮腫型，急性中央部浮腫型，および虹彩毛様体炎型の4つの臨床病型に分類した．特に，前3者のタイプの角膜内皮炎が急増していると思われる．

Corneal endotheliitis has been a recently recog-nized clinical entity which comprises several dis-eases with common clinical manifestations.Through the retrospective survey of 21 patients with corneal endotheliitis, these patients were clas-sified into four distinctive clinical categories. Type 1, corneal endotheliitis was, characterized by pro-gressive, peripheral corneal edema ; type 2 by par-acentral corneal edema ; type 3 by acute central corneal edema ; type 4 by the association with a high degree of keratouveitis The incidence of cor-neal endotheliitis of types 1-3 seems to be steadily on the increase.
