ステロイド非投与による実質型角膜ヘルペスの治療

Noncorticosteroid therapy of herpetic stromal keratitis

　実質型角膜ヘルペス13症例13眼に対し，ステロイド非投与でアシクロビル点滴静注（750mg）を10日間連日投与（6眼），あるいは完全分子型グロブリン製剤点滴静注（2.5g）を5〜12日間連日投与（7眼）した。併用薬剤として抗ウイルス薬と抗生物質の点眼を用いた。

　全例に角膜浮腫と毛様充血の軽減がみられた。7例（7眼）に角膜ヘルペスの再発回数の減少が認められた。

　実質型角膜ヘルペスの治療に際し，ステロイド非投与にても良好な結果が得られた。

We treated 13 eyes, 13 cases, of herpes simplexstromal keratitis without recourse to topical cor-ticosteroid. Six cases were treated by intravenousacyclovir, 750 mg/day, for 10 consecutive days.Another 7 cases were given intact type of gammag-lobulin. 2.5 g/day, by intravenous route for 5 to 12consecutive days. All cases were treated, addition-ally, by topical antiviral and antibiotic prepara-tions.

Both types of treatment were effective fordecreasing corneal stromal edema and ciliary injec-tion. Further recurrence of herpetic keratitisbecame less frequent in 7 eyes. The overall thera-peutic outcome was essentially similar to conven-tional treatment with topical corticosteroids.
