角膜移植片の知覚回復について

Recovery of corneal sensitivity following penetrating keratoplasty

　角膜移植片中央部の知覚は角膜移植後1年のあいだ消失または極端な低下を示し，術後1年半から2年頃より徐々に回復しはじめた．この角膜知覚繊維の再生から推察すると，移植片は角膜移植後最低1年間は神経繊維と隔絶されたneurotrophicな状態にあると想像された．

We evaluated the course of recovery of sensitivity in donor graft following penetrating keratoplasty in 89 eyes up to 30 months postoperatively. The sen-sitivity in the central part of the donor cornea was markedly decreased during the first postoperative year followed by a gradual and significant recovery during the second year. The findigs imply that the process of trigeminal reinnervation sets in after the lapse of one year after surgery.
