　硝子体中に落下した眼内レンズを，眼外に取り出さずに毛様溝に固定する方法を考案した。

　3ポートを作成し，単純硝子体切除を行ったのち，硝子体中に落下した眼内レンズを虹彩上にのせ，輪部から1.5mm離れた強膜刺入創と対側のサイドボートを利用してプロリン糸のループを2つ作り，これにより眼内レンズのハプティクスを毛様溝に固定した。

　この術式の利点は，眼内レンズを出し入れする切開創を作成しないことにより術中の低眼圧が生じにくいこと，また，切開創による乱視は発生しないことである。

　眼内レンズは縫着糸のループで固定されており，直接縫合していないため，センタリングが容易であった。

We developed a suturing method for intraocular lens (IOL) which later dislocated in the vitreous. Following 3-port simple vitrectomy, the dislocated IOL is brought anterior to the iris with vitreous forceps. The haptics of the IOL are then sutured to the sulcus with proline loops at 3 and 9 o'clock position through two incisions 1.5 mm posterior to the limbus. The whole procedure is performed with the IOL staying within the eye. It has the advantage that it is free of postoperative astigmatism due to scleral incision and that ocular hypotension is avoided during surgery. Centration of IOL is also easy with this approach.
