　両眼性網膜芽細胞腫の保存療法後，放射線照射部位に，照射後10年で悪性腫瘍と考えられるHemangiopericytomaが発生した1症例を報告した。網膜芽細胞腫に対する保存療法としてはラジウム針埋没術（総量約5,000レントゲン照射），光凝固術，化学療法としてTriethylene-thio-phosphoramide投与が行われていた。両眼性網膜芽細胞腫に続発する悪性腫瘍の発生に対して，網膜芽細胞腫の保存療法に使われる放射線が誘因になるか否かについて論じた。

A 10-year-boy developed hemangiopericytoma in the ethmoidal cavity after prior treatment for bilateral retinoblastoma at the age of 3 months. The retinoblastoma had been managed with enu-cleation of one eye. The other eye with three small tumors had been successfully treated with radium-needle implantation totalling 5,000 r, photo-coagulation and intramuscular injection of tri-ethylene-thio-phosporamide. The site of origin of hemangiopericytoma lay within the field of radia-tion.
