網膜芽細胞腫の自然寛解いわゆるretinomaについて

Two cases of spontaneous regression of retinoblastoma or so-called retinoma

　網膜芽細胞腫の自然寛解と思われる2症例を報告した。患者は両眼性散発性の5歳3ヵ月の女児および片眼性散発性の4歳3ヵ月男児で，それぞれ1年5ヵ月，9カ月の観察期間中に腫瘍増殖がまったく見られなかった。これらの腫瘍に共通した特微は①境界鮮明な円形または楕円形の灰白色の病巣，②限局性網脈絡膜萎縮石灰化，色素沈着等を伴っている，③年長児に発症しているという点であり，これらの所見はGallieらの提唱するRetinomaの臨床像に一致した。

We observed spontaneous regression of retino-blastoma in 2 cases who were diagnosed upon clini-cal findings only. The family history was negative for retinoblastoma in both cases.

A 5-year-old girl showed a greyish-white, sharply-demarcated flat tumor adjacent to the disc in her right eye. In the left eye, there was a sharply-demarcated flat tumor with calcified foci as well as a large, highly elevated tumor with cottage cheese appearance.
