　網膜剥離手術の訓練は良い指導医のもとに，適正な選択基準によって最適な症例を選んで行うべきである。さらに，Detachment Operation Chart等を活用し，図上手術を行って，術前に演習しておくことで，あらかじめ手術の進行に基づいて，正確な予測を行いうる能力を養う。こうすることにより，初学者においても，十分納得のいく手術成績が得られるものと考えられた。

One of the authers (T.K.) performed detachment surgery in 50 consecutive cases as a resident trainee. For his training the authors, a trainee and a trainer, devised a chart called "detachment operation chart." The trainee drew a usual detachment chart in every case at first and then drew a detachment operation chart according to the detachment chart previously drawn. On the detachment operation chart thus drawn, one could plan the operation with due consideration of the location, the size of retinal break and the amount of subretinal fluid.
