緒言

　黄斑裂孔を伴う網膜剥離は治療の困難な網膜剥離と一般に考えられている。

　しからば，1）通常の網膜剥離と比べて，黄斑裂孔を有する網膜剥離に治療上の困難が多い理由は何か，2）いかなる手術手技を用いれば黄斑裂孔を有する網膜剥離の治療が成功するか。

Twenty-four cases of retinal detachment with macular hole were reported. Twenty-two out of24 were anatomically cured and the rate of suc-cessful treatment was 92 per cent.

Concerning the treatment, these cases could be divided into three groups except two early cases treated with diathermy.

The first group included four cases which attained complete reattachment of the retina after 24-48 hours of absolute bed rest with bi-nocular bandages. They were treated simply with light coagulation and the treatment was successful in all four cases.

The second group had ten cases.
