I．緒言

　1940年，J．W．Reppeにより合成されたPoly-vinyl pyrrolidon （以下P．V P．）の高分子性のものは，G．Hecht及びH．Weeseにより血漿増量剤として紹介され各科領域に於て使用されている。又，この低分子性のものは，生体内毒素，有害物質を吸着し，腎よりの排泄作用や浮腫消失作用が強い事が知られ，これ又，広く使用されている。しかし，眼科領域に於ては未だ使用症例は少く，文献的報告も2,3を数えるのみである。

今回，私は，低分子性P．V．P．，所謂PLASGEN-L （以下P-L）の眼科的応用を主として網膜疾患に行い，その治療効果を判定する機会を得たので，ここに報告したい。

The author applied Plasgen-L (low molecular weight polyvinyl pyrrolidon) clinically. 11 patients (included 3 chorioretinpis centralis serosa (Masuda), 2 retinitis solaris, 1 Harda's disease, 2 amotio, retinae, 2 haemorrhagia retinae et corporis vitae recidiva juvenum and 1 degeneratio coruae familiaris) were given intravenous and/or subconjunctival injection of Plasgen-L. Following result were obtained.

The application of Plasgen-L was effective for the retinal disease with local oedematous changes, especially for chorioretinitis centralis serosa and retinitis solaris.
