小児泌尿器科領域における日帰り手術

DAY SURGERY IN PEDIATRIC UROLOGY

　1985年5月から1987年2月の間に233例に対して日帰り手術を行つた。内容は精巣固定術，ヘルニア根治術や内視鏡険査などで，今までのところ術後の重篤な合併症は経験していない。日帰り手術の利点としては，1）医療費の節約が可能である，2）子供の入院による精神的苦痛を和らげることが可能である，3）入院ベッドをより有効に使用できる，などが考えられた。

We have reviewed an experience of day surgery in pediatric urology at Kobe Children's Hospital. 233 operations were performed during May 1985, to February 1987, and the procedures included orchio-pexy, herniorrhaphy, endoscopic examination and so on. No serious complications was experienced so far. Benefits of day surgery are 1) decrease in the cost of medical care, 2) decrease in psychological problems of children, 3) effective use of inpatient beds.
