　硬膜内原発性視束腫瘍は本邦に於ては，小柳教授の報告を嚆矢としてより今日まで38例の報告があり，比較的稀な腫瘍であるが，私は最近，数年来視束腫瘍による眼球突出の患者が患眼を殴打されたことにより眼球脱臼を来たし，これを摘出して病理組織学的検索を行つたので茲に報告する次第である。

A Case of neuroma of the intraorbital portion of the right optic nerve of a 11 year-old boy was reported. The tumor was at first noticed as a right slight exophthalmos at the age of 6 afer the patient had been bruised on the right side of his face. Prolapsus bulbi fol-lowed at the age of 11 owing to the assault the affected eye.

The authors describe the symptoms, of which the most important is exophthalmos, followed by gradual loss of visual acuity and impairment of ocular motility.
