緒言

　Erdheim （1904）がはじめて頭蓋咽頭腫について発表してから，多数の報告がみられるが，その発病年齢については10歳代に最も多く認められ，60歳以上では非常にまれなものとされている。今回，われわれは球後視神経炎を起こした67歳の女性に開頭して，クモ膜炎とともに頭蓋咽頭腫を認め，術後約5年間にわたり，神経眼科的および内分泌学的に経過観察を行なつたので報告する。

Craniopharyngioma is generally admitted to be an occurrence in younger subjects. An unu-sual instance of the disease in a 67-year-old female is reported with due emphasis on neuro-ophthalmological and endocrinological features.

The patient had noted gradual, bilateral loss of vision during the foregoing 2 years perior to the initial examination. The visual acuity was 0.04 RE and 0.3 LE. Homonymous hemianopsia was present with central scotoma in either eye. Fundus findings were normal. Thin calcifica-tion of sella turcica was found by x-ray of the skull.
