I．緒言

　脳腫瘍のうちには，もつばら眼症状を主訴として眼科を訪れるものがあり，その早期診断のむずかしい例が多い。これを自験例で例証し，幾つかの問題点を検討してみた。

Case 1 : A 25-year-old woman had compla-ined of blurring of the right vision, which was gradually progressive for two years, while she was treated by some ophthalmologists under the diagnosis of chronic retrobulbar optic ne-uritis of the right side.

At the authors' examination, her visual ac-uity was reduced to counting fingers at 30cm. in the right eye, exophthalmos of 1 mm. was measured, the ocular motility was full, and optic atrophy with large central defect of vi-sual field was present in the right eye only. Seroreaction of Wassermann was strongly positive.
