Xenon光凝固によるHippel病の治療

Xenon Photocoagulation of Retinal Angiomatosis

緒言

　Meyer-Schwickerathは1959年に刊行された彼の著書Lichtkoagulationの中に，網膜血管腫症に光凝固で血管腫破壊を試みた26例についての治験を報じ，ついで1961年には59例の治験例を追加報告して，網膜血管腫症に対する光凝固法の有用性を強調した。

　われわれの眼科でも1962年から5ヵ月間に主として光凝固法によつて加療したHippel病の4例について，百々・調枝が1963年の第16回臨床眼科学会で報告したが，その後に8治験例を加え，症例の一部については遠隔成績も調査したので，それらの概略を述べ，本症に対する光凝固について検討を加える。

The therapeutic outcome of retinal angioma-tosis (von Hippel) following xenon photocoa-gulation is reported. A total of 12 cases invol-ving 17 eyes were seen during the past 10 years. Two eyes belonging to the terminal stage with secondary retinal detachment were ex-cluded and the remaining 15 eyes were mainlytreated by photocoagulation. Out of the 14 eyes in which treatment was completed, destruction of the angioma was attained in 71% and app-reciable descrease in the size of the angioma with retained vision was induced in 29%.
