I．緒論
血清肝炎は輸血後に生ずる一種のvirus hepa—titisと考えられている。その前駆症を知ることは血清肝炎の早期発見に役立ち，したがつて予後をも良くするであろう。また無黄疸性肝炎の発見が遅れて，後年肝硬変性に移行する不幸事の予防にも役立つと考えられる。
元来，肝疾患と眼症状の関係はあまり多くは知られていない。ただわずかに黄疸，ウィルソン氏病などの特定の場合に限られて，その眼症状が知られているのみである。
Photophobia and asthenopia were complained of by a 34-year-old female two months after blood transfusion during renal surgery. Through consequent ophthalmological examinations, the patient was diagnosed as retrobulbar neuritis and accommodative asthenopia. Systemic studiesin search of underlying causes resulted in detection of impaired hepatic functions and in the diagnosis of serum hepatitis.
The retrobulbar neuritis in the present case is interpreted as due to viral hepatitis or re-sultant thiamine deficiency.
