Ocular Findings of Cancer Metastasis to the Semilunare Ganglion

I．緒言

　半月状神経節ganglion semilunare, gasseriに発生する腫瘍ははなはだ稀である。この腫瘍にはganglion semilunareの原発のもの，脳の他の部からの浸潤または転移によるものとがある。脳以外の臓器の腫瘍からの転移はさらに稀であり，眼科領域ではF．B．　Walshの乳癌の転移の1例の経験だけであり，その他の領域でも3例を数えるのみで，わが国での報告は寡聞にして知らない。

　われわれがここに報告する症例は，乳癌があり，手術および放射線療法により原発巣には再発していないことは，剖検により確かめられているが，肺に転移癌を形成し，さらにその転移癌から発生したか，あるいは肺と同時に転移して発育がとどまつていて，その後増大したものか，ganglionsemilunareに転移巣を作り，その部の種々の脳症状とともに特有な眼症状を呈し，その症状群はまことにgradenigo's syndromeと紛らわしく，その両者の鑑別にも必要なので，その小経験を報告する。

A report is presented of a 42-year-old female who underwent radical mastectomy for breast cancer 6 years before and had been treated by anticarcinogenic drugs and radioactive cobalt radiation since 3 years later. Five years after initial detection of breast cancer, right-sided abducens paresis and ipsilateral hypesthesia of the cornea together with recurrent papilloedema developed. Following accompanying features also set in : marked atrophy of the muscles supplied by the motor 5th nerve, ptosis, loss of hemifacial sensation supplied by all the three divisions of the 5th nerve.
